1. About Us
Simple Living UK is a trading name of DAS Furnishings Ltd, Accrington, Lancashire, United Kingdom. We design, make and sell handmade sofas direct to consumers in the United Kingdom.
2. These Terms
These terms govern your use of simplelivinguk.com and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
3. Orders & Contract
A legally binding contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We may cancel or refuse an order for reasons including stock availability, pricing errors or suspected fraud; if we do, we will refund you in full.
4. Prices
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. The price you pay is the price shown when you place your order. Delivery is free to mainland UK; any surcharge for other UK postcodes is set out in our Shipping Policy and confirmed with you before dispatch.
5. Payment
We accept major debit and credit cards, PayPal and, where available, buy now, pay later options at checkout. Payment is taken when you order. Where a pay-later product is used, the provider’s own terms and eligibility criteria apply.
6. Delivery
See our Shipping Policy. Delivery timescales are estimates; we will keep you informed of any delay.
7. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
See our Refund Policy. Standard sofas can be returned within 14 days of delivery, subject to a £70 return collection charge. Bespoke sofas made to your specification cannot be returned for change of mind, but faulty items are always put right.
8. Warranty
Our sofas carry a 12-month warranty covering the frame, foam and any mechanisms against manufacturing defects under normal domestic use. It does not cover fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or damage from incorrect cleaning. This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.
9. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the price you paid for the product.
10. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or other UK consumer law.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
